The 5000 Gearbox has less than 20 parts for easier repair and less opportunity for breakdown. The innovative design turns the lead screw nut, not the shaft, reducing wear on the cross feed casting and lead screw shaft. This reduces friction and vibration for a smoother cut and greater productivity. Best of all-the the 5000 Gearbox easily bolts to your existing lathe without permanent modification or costly, time consuming installation.

Gearbox Installed on Ammco 4000 Lathe. No Special Tools or Modifications Needed. Simply replace your existing gearbox and pulleys with the new ones for greater productivity, power, and profitability. The 5000 comes complete with controller, gearbox, pulleys and a self-contained motor to avoid robbing power from your lathe. Our free videotape walks you through the easy, step-by-step installation.

Offering twice the pulling power of the old Ammco pulley system, these pulleys are so smooth running that lathe vibration is almost eliminated! The easy to install pulleys and Poly-V belt system increases arbor speed from 150 RPMs to 200 RPMs to boost productivity. Normally used in 5 hp applications, it will not slip when adjusted properly. Poly-V belts and pulleys are sold separately to allow upgrade of Ammco 3000, 4000,4100or 7000 for a smoother, faster performance. Pulleys may also be used effectively without the 5000.

The controller offers greater speed variety - from Ammco`s fastest to as slow and fine a finish as you desire - with all the wide range of speeds in between. Simply slow down the controller to reach true one cut capability or increase the speed to raise productivity. Vary the depth to accommodate speed changes. Handle it all - usually in less than 2 minutes.
